~ A trio of wooden soldiers to Baba Yaga, Fables #24 — "The Letter: Chapter Five of March of the Wooden Soldiers" |
The wooden soldiers were creations of Geppetto, using his natural wood-carving skills and the Blue Fairy's magic, to serve in the Adversary's army. They debut in Fables #19 — "Out of the Woods: Chapter One — March of the Wooden Soldiers."
History
Serving as the Adversary's main force, they consider themselves better than those not made of wood,[2] and are easily insulted if treated as an equal by a "meathead."[2][3]
