Publisher's summary
So Jack's gone and got himself kidnapped, bloodied, broken, and spirited away to a mysterious prison camp called the Golden Boughs Retirement Village. For any other Fable this would spell a mess of trouble, but for Jack it's no more than a...okay, it's also a mess of trouble for him, but he'll stay undaunted when he meets the enigmatic author of his current dilemma: the mysterious Mr. Revise!
Plot
Jack wakes up to find Goldilocks, naked, lying next to him. He learns about his new "home" and the other Fables that have been brought there. Jack also finds out how Goldilocks survived getting an ax to the head.
Continuity
According to Mister Revise, when he first came to the mundane world it was filthy with magic, and had witches, angels, devils, and pagan gods everywhere. He and his team nearly had that world completely free from magic when Fablekind arrived. In Fables #152 — "The Black Forest Chapter Two: Pandemonium," Peter Pan states that his own minions worked hard over the ages, locking the magic of this world away.
Trivia
When Jack Horner is a prisoner at the Golden Boughs Retirement Village, he plays an arcade game based on The Un-Mundy, one of the Fabletown comic books that first appear in Fables #15 — "Into the Woods: Storybook Love Part Two."
