Goblins are a Fable species which debuts in Fables #2 — "Chapter Two: The (Un)Usual Suspects."
Physiology and traits
Goblins, or gobs for short,[1] have green skin[2][3][4] covered in warts.[2][4] Some possess yellow tusks. According to the Big Bad Wolf, their flesh tastes so unpleasant that even carrion that has been rotting for three weeks in the height of summer is more palatable.[2]
Goblins are carnivores who will feed on any creature that comes under their power, even their own;[5] in the midst of the Empire's military operations in the Arabian worlds, the bodies of the deceased Arabian Fables and their beasts were butchered and cooked to provide a victory feast for the goblin troops.[6]
Although they engage in sexual activities similar to humans, they have a unique preference for biting instead of kissing.[6] Male goblins and human males are built alike when it comes to private parts; Rose Red took advantage of this when she took down one of them with a precisely aimed kick to the groin.[7]
Society and culture
Goblins frequently serve the Adversary as soldiers.[8][6] There are even transit barracks specifically for enlisted goblin personnel in the Imperial City.[9]
Goblins engage in their own heathen rites for the dead, which involve the burning of their deceased individuals.[6]
The goblin word for sergeant is "kaidan."[3]
