~ Georgie Porgie to Bigby Wolf, Fables: The Wolf Among Us #18 — "Chapter Eighteen" |
Georgie Porgie is a human Fable who runs a strip club, Pudding & Pie, in a shady part of Fabletown in New York City. He first appears in Fables: The Wolf Among Us #18 — "Chapter Eighteen."
History
Pudding & Pie
During the investigation of Lily's murder, Bigby Wolf arrives at the Pudding & Pie, where Georgie, the owner, can be seen berating Nerissa as he tries to coach her on her lackluster pole dancing. He informs Bigby that the club is not open and proceeds to taunt him regarding his appearance and speech. He refuses to cooperate with Bigby's questioning, acknowledging that Lily was employed at the establishment but asserting that he has no knowledge of her murderer. Georgie also asserts his ignorance regarding the origin of Lily's illicit glamour. He firmly states that his club strictly prohibits any involvement with the black market, prostitution, or any other unlawful activities. Despite this, he openly confesses his indifference towards Lily's demise. Bigby is aware that Georgie is withholding information from him, so he swiftly seizes a wooden paddle hanging on the wall and proceeds to demolish various objects within the club.[1]
Clever Hans enters the room and discloses a client ledger belonging to Georgie, which contains records of all his girls' appointments. Despite Georgie's attempts to silence him, Hans persists in revealing the information.[1] Bigby locates a floor safe underneath the cases of liquo. When he threatens to keep destroying his property, Georgie relents and opens the safe revealing the client book, from which Bigby learns that Lily's last meeting was with a "Mr. Smith." Georgie states the name is probably fake and he can't offer anymore help, and it is not his fault if his girls make arrangements with any clients outside the club. He then leaves Bigby to angrily make a phone call about how he has been treated.[2]
At the Pudding & Pie, Georgie is conversing over the phone with an unfamiliar caller as Bigby and Snow White arrive in their quest to locate Ichabod Crane. As they go into the back room to arrest Crane, Georgie alerts the caller about a potential problem and instructs them to "send her down."[3]
Taking the fall
Georgie later attends the Crooked Man 's gathering at his hideout, where Bigby suddenly barges in.[4] The Crooked Man informs Bigby that the crimes under investigation were committed by one of his employees, specifically Georgie. Georgie gladly admits that he killed Faith and Lily and that he was ordered to do so by the Crooked Man; however, he becomes angry when the Crooked Man makes him take the fall for the murders.[5]
Things quickly escalates into violence when Georgie, Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum and the Jersey Devil get into a fight with Bigby. Georgie makes a futile attempt to shoot Bigby as he discovers that he has completely run out of bullets. He attempts to stab Bigby, but inadvertently wounds Tweedle Dee instead. Subsequently, he makes another attempt on Bigby's life, only to be subdued and ultimately stabbed with his own weapon. Heavily wounded, Georgie and Vivian flee as Bigby chases them.[6]
Death
Bigby ends up at the Pudding & Pie[7] where he finds Georgie extremely injured almost to the point of death.[6] Bigby inquires about the reason behind the killing of the two girls, to which Georgie explains that they attempted to escape, and the Crooked Man preferred not to involve himself directly. He claims that the Crooked Man issued the command and betrayed him as soon as things got difficult. He elaborates that the Crooked Man placed magical ribbons around Faith, Lily, and the other girls' necks to prevent them from speaking. He explains that if Bigby takes the ribbon off Vivian, the original "Girl with the Ribbon," the spell will be broken, but Vivian will die. He tries to force the sheriff to remove Vivian's ribbon and kill her. Vivian backs away and pulls her own ribbon off after expressing her remorse for ruining the girls' lives, committing suicide. This horrifies and shocks Bigby and Georgie greatly.[7]
Georgie mourns his dead colleague, but Bigby tells him that he needs to get up and go with him. Georgie refuses, revealing the severity of his wound and divulges the location of the Crooked Man's whereabouts. He pleads with Bigby to grant him a mercy killing. Bigby weighs the option of letting him slowly bleed out as retribution for Faith and Lily, yet ultimately opts to decapitate him, similar to how Georgie treated his victims.[8]

Original source
He is based on the titular character of the nursery rhyme "Georgie Porgie." The name of Georgie's strip club, Pudding & Pie, is derived from a stanza of his self-titled nursery rhyme; as is the tattoo across his chest, which says "Kiss the girls."[1] The poem goes:
Georgie Porgie, pudding and pie,
Kissed the girls and made them cry,
When the boys came out to play,
Georgie Porgie ran away.
