Plot

Toy Repair

Therese hurries to the pot where Darien sacrificed himself. His body is gone, his clothes are there, the pot is filled with stew, and grass is growing around the pot. The pot is a cauldron that will never go empty, Therese eats some. Rex, a toy dog with no eyes, tells Therese her brother's fate and way of death. This makes Therese very sad. After some time, Therese decides to put her brother's sacrifice to good use. Therese is now a lot older, she decides that the toys will go into the world and save children to make up for the ones they accidentally killed, without them knowing of course. As more grass grows and more children are saved, the toys are magically being repaired. Therese arrives back home much older and asks where her father is.
