“ | I was the first mundy to gain magical abilities when the Everaftering hit. You saw me on the news. The Netflix documentaries. The J.J. Abrams movie. Which means you know my story. I was bullied when I was young. I was beaten senseles, my money stolen, my clothes ruined, my self-worth trampled into dirt. And when I got my powers...all I wanted was to do with them was to lash out. To hurt the bullies. And then to hurt anyone who'd ever stood by and done nothing while I was pushed around. Then to hurt everyone in the school. Everyone in the town. Everyone who might have ever whispered an unkind word about me. So I know the thoughts running through your minds at this moment. I've thought them, too. | „ |

Robert "Bobby" Speckland was the first mundy to gain magical abilities when the Everaftering occurred. He first appears in Fables #150 — "In a Castle Dark."
History
The Everaftering
Bobby Speckland resided in Gary, Indiana, a place where he was relentlessly bullied by his peers at school. Fed up with being the victim, he unleashed raw and uncontrolled magic on his bullies, becoming the first mundy to possess magical abilities.[2] He enrolled in the Totenkinder Memorial School of Magic, where he was taught by Maddy.[1]
The Cube
When a group of bullied teens erected a magic prison cube around Plano South Senior High, Feathertop brought in Bobby to intervene with a message for the young captors.[3]
